Dopo un primo concerto con il membro fondatore e chitarrista Anders Björler lo scorso fine settimana al Damnation Festival in Regno Unito, i pionieri del melodic death metal svedese AT THE GATES continueranno a partire da questa settimana a promuovere il loro acclamato ultimo album in studio “The Nightmare Of Being” con un tour europeo insieme a In Flames, Imminence e Orbit Culture.

Originariamente presenti solo nella limited edition di “The Nightmare Of Being”, questi due brani sono stati eseguiti dal vivo a Tilburg in Olanda in occasione del Roadburn Festival 2019. Successivamente i partner di lunga data per la videografia della band Costin Chioreanu / Twilight 13 Media hanno creato sia un clip atmosferico per “The Burning Darkness (Live at Roadburn)” che uno più astratto per “The Scar (Live at Roadburn)”.
Il commento del cantante Tomas Lindberg Redant in merito al tour e ai due videoclip:
“Siamo entusiasti di poter finalmente andare in tour in Europa in supporto al nostro ultimo album ‘The Nightmare Of Being’. Ad aumentarne l’eccitazione il fatto che il chitarrista fondatore Anders Björler sia tornato in squadra. Lo scorso fine settimana abbiamo ricevuto un’accoglienza incredibile al Damnation Festival; è veramente incredibile far parte degli AT THE GATES in questo momento.
Questi due video sono stati registrati dal vivo durante la nostra performance al Roadburn Festival, quando ne curai personalmente la direzione artistica, un paio di anni fa.
‘The Burning Darkness’ la ritengo una delle pietre miliari della nostra carriera. E avere i visual di Costin come sfondo per quella canzone è stato semplicemente incredibile… Sono molto felice di come sia venuto fuori!
Anche per ‘The Scar’, altro pezzo cardine della nostra discografia, Costin ha girato un video accattivante che cattura davvero l’atmosfera del brano. Qui puoi anche sentire il fantastico Yo Quail Quartet suonare insieme a noi!”
