Due decadi di carriera per gli statunitensi MISERY INDEX, pronti a tornare con un nuovo album di inediti! “Complete Control” sarà pubblicato il 13 maggio 2022 su Century Media Records, il primo per la label tedesca. L’album è stato mixato da Will Putney e masterizzato da Jens Bogren / Fascination Street studios mentre l’artwork è stato curato da Matt Lombard.
Il commento del bassista/cantante Jason Netherton:
“Siamo super entusiasti di presentare il nostro nuovo album ‘Complete Control’ – un’opera di 9 tracce, nata durante la pandemia; death metal al vetriolo che attinge fortemente alle nostre influenze hardcore e grindcore. Abbiamo registrato l’album nei mesi di settembre e ottobre dello scorso anno, successivamente mixato da Will Putney prima del master di Jens Bogren. La copertina presenta il viscerale e inquietante lavoro dell’artista Matt Lombard, che per noi rappresenta le contraddittorie forze di controllo e di caos che definiscono la nostra epoca moderna. I temi dell’album si concentrano su queste forze concorrenti di controllo e caos. Esse interrogano il potere come qualcosa che non è sempre maneggiato con forza bruta nell’età moderna (attraverso la violenza) ma più come una società di controllo delle masse e degli individui.
INOLTRE, non vediamo l’ora di partire in tour anche quest’anno! Abbiamo in programma una serie di date con i nostri vecchi amici Origin e Wolf King in Nord America, la partecipazione ad alcuni festival, un tour della costa occidentale degli Stati Uniti e uno in veste di headliner in Europa entro la fine dell’anno.”
